With her dying breath, she tells Moana to go save her people and gives her the necklace used to carry the heart. Moana departs using one of the sailboats found in the cave and departs with Heihei, a dumb rooster who has accidentally stowed away on the sailboat. She seeks to find Maui by following a constellation that looks like his fish hook, but a wave flips her sailboat and knocks her unconscious. She wakes up the next morning on a small island inhabited by Maui, who traps Moana in a cave after distracting her with a tune.

Maui begins to pull up Motufetu with his giant hook, but Nalo strips Maui of his demigod powers with a lightning bolt. Moana, in a moment of desperation, dives into the ocean to touch Motufetu underwater, but as she succeeds, Nalo’s lightning kills her. Maui jumps in after her body, and with a magical chant, summons the spirits of Tautai Vasa and Moana’s ancestors, including her grandmother Tala, who help revive her as a demigoddess, with Moana gaining a wayfinder’s tattoo. Maui, also regaining his powers as a demigod, finally raises Motufetu and helps Moana reconnect the people with the ocean.

• After Moana gets struck by lightning, her ancestors revive her as a demigoddess and give her a magical tattoo.
• As Moana bursts into tears, she is visited by Grandma Tala’s spiritual ghost, who comforts and apologizes to her granddaughter for putting such much pressure on her.
• After sadly telling the ocean to bring the heart to someone else, Gramma Tala appears as a spiritual manta ray and encourages her to discover who she is based on what she has learned, what she has lived through, who she has met, and where she comes from.
• In a vision, she hears her ancestors speaking to her, calling her to a new quest.
• When discovering Motunui being affected by Te Kā’s curse and that she has been chosen by the Ocean to restore the Heart of Te Fiti, Moana attempts to again persuade her father, along with their people to leave Motuni so they can help restore the heart.

The trust served as consultants for the filmmakers and played a major role in developing every aspect of the movie. Three years after restoring the heart, Moana has started to go on her own adventures and gained a little sister named Simea. However, on her latest excursion, she finds a clay jar, with the help of Heihei, proving that there are people out there. Moana returns home where she is reunited with the villagers and her family. She takes her little sister to that cave where Tala showed Moana their history and tells Simea about Tautai Vasa. Moana agrees to go through a ceremony with her father to be named a legendary wayfinder like her ancestor Tautai Vasa.

• Moana reluctantly accepts her grandmother’s dying wish, packs up supplies, and takes one of her ancestor’s boats that unknowingly had her rooster friend, Heihei, on board as well.
• It also became the sixth highest-grossing animated film of all time, with a worldwide gross of over $690 million.
• Along the way, she meets the demigod Maui, who becomes her ally and friend.
• She walks around barefoot, and her clothing consists of a coconut fiber skirt, mainly beige-colored with golden sun patterns, and a red sash around her waist.
• After arriving at Maui’s Island by surviving a storm, Moana met the demigod and tried to speak with him, only to find he was egotistic, arrogant, and boisterous.
• Moana premiered during the AFI Fest at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on November 14, 2016, and was released theatrically in the United States on November 23.

When her island becomes endangered due to the threat posed by an angry Te Kā, Moana is chosen by the Ocean to journey across Oceania to the island of Te Fiti to restore the heart stolen by Maui, and save her people. Believing that she failed as a sailor, Moana deems herself as unfit for the sea and wishes to place her stone on the mountain. She tells this to Tala, who responds by showing Moana a hidden cave created by their ancestors long ago.

Moana, also known as Vaiana in some dubs, is the titular main protagonist of the Disney animated franchise of the same name. Moana heard Tala explain because Maui stole the Heart of Te Fiti, monsters roamed the seas and Te Kā’s curse destroyed islands and made sea voyage dangerous. Moana then saw Tala reveal that Te Kā’s curse has now reached Motunui and was shocked to hear Tala also reveal she had been chosen by the Ocean to save all of Polynesia from Te Kā’s curse as she was given the Heart of Te Fiti. As the next chieftain of her village, she is at odds with her responsibility to her people and her desire to explore the sea. As a child, she was chosen by the Ocean to return the Heart of Te Fiti, and when her island starts being overcome by darkness, she undertakes this quest to save the lives of her people, learning about herself and her heritage along the way.

Moana Slip-On Shoes for Kids

She wears a cropped red tube top around her upper torso, starting below her arms and ending above her midriff, complete with two strings of cowrie shells wrapped around her. On her neck she wears a necklace of beads, complete with a blue gemstone locket that holds the heart of Te Fiti. Her hair also appears to be a little bit longer and some of it is in front of her face now. She also wears the same outfit from the first film, but the top of her red tube top switched to white single strap top and the sun patterns on her skirt switched to a new pattern. It features a white top with a pattern on it, a red skirt with the same pattern with a coconut fiber skirt.
